What God Says in Ezekiel About Telling Others About Him

Do we have a responsibility to tell others about salvation in Jesus Christ? Read what God tells Ezekiel in the book of Ezekiel 3:17-21:

Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.

When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.

Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.

And a few verses from the New Testament concerning salvation.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;                                                                              Titus 3:5

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.                                       Ephesians 2:8-9

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.   John 14:6

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.                                          Acts 4:12

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.          Matthew 7:21

Be Faithful To Do What You Know To Do

When you read these verses, you can understand more about the mysterious ways of our LORD. Read these verses several times and meditate on them. The LORD is saying His ways are not our ways. His ways are past finding out. Our task is to be faithful to what we know to do.

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD. -Isaiah 55:8

Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out! “FOR WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD? OR WHO HAS BECOME HIS COUNSELOR? OR WHO HAS FIRST GIVEN TO HIM AND IT SHALL BE REPAID TO HIM?” For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen. -Romans 11:33-36

Who has directed the Spirit of the LORD, Or as His counselor has taught Him? -Isaiah 40:13

For who has stood in the counsel of the LORD, And has perceived and heard His word? Who has marked His word and heard it? -Jeremiah 23:18

Who has preceded Me, that I should pay him? Everything under heaven is Mine. -Job 41:11

I Am Fearfully and Wonderfully Made

I do not know who you are or where you live, but God knows! You are special to Him! He never breaks His promises! He loves you with an everlasting love that knows no boundaries.

God has made you in His own image. And since God created you, He has a purpose for your life.

Psalm 139:14 says: I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are they works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

Joshua 1:1-9

Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD it came to pass, that the LORD spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ minister, saying, Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.
Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.
From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast.
There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them. Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Joshua 1:1-9

Psalm 57

Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me! For my soul trusts in You; And in the shadow of Your wings I will make my refuge, Until these calamities have passed by.

I will cry out to God Most High, To God who performs all things for me.

He shall send from heaven and save me; He reproaches the one who would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth His mercy and His truth.

My soul is among lions; I lie among the sons of men Who are set on fire, Whose teeth are spears and arrows, And their tongue a sharp sword.

Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; Let Your glory be above all the earth.

They have prepared a net for my steps; My soul is bowed down; They have dug a pit before me; Into the midst of it they themselves have fallen. Selah

My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and give praise.

Awake, my glory! Awake, lute and harp! I will awaken the dawn.

I will praise You, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing to You among the nations.

For Your mercy reaches unto the heavens, And Your truth unto the clouds.

Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; Let Your glory be above all the earth.

Meditation

Meditation should be a very important part of the Christian’s life.  We must be very careful that we separate our meditation from the meditation of the world.  Where the world’s meditation is concentrating on oneself, the Christian meditation is concentrating on God.  Because of the association of meditation with other religions, the Christian should do their meditation in private as a part of prayer and devotion to God.

There are so many different ways of looking at meditation in today’s world and it is difficult for scientists to pin down a definition when researching meditation.  To the Christian, it is easy to settle on a definition for it.  Meditation is concentrating on God and everything about God.

If you do a search on Google on meditation you will get over 72 million hits.  Scientists are trying to discover health benefits of meditation.  They know that meditation helps you to reduce stress and lowers your blood pressure.  I believe it would definitely do that when we are concentrating on and about God regularly.

The Bible talks much about meditation.  A few of the verses are below.

Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all.  1 Timothy 4:15

MEDITATION SHOULD BE SWEET

WHAT OTHER THINGS WE SHOULD MEDITATE ON

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.  Philippians 4:8
